Fundraising at Maple Grove
Fundraising is NOT the primary goal of the Maple Grove PTA. We raise funds to support the activities and programs at Maple Grove. We hope to enhance the education of our children, and for this purpose, we provide funds to the classroom and for PTA sponsored enrichment programs. We believe that PTA can contribute the most to the enrichment of our children's education by supporting the school with volunteers. Our two main fundraisers each year are the Gala for Grown-Ups and the Gallop at the Grove. In addition, we have a number of passive or low commitment fundraisers which also raise funds for the PTA. If you are interested in helping with these or any other fundraising activities please contact any member of the Maple Grove PTA board.
Free Fundraisers:
Schoolpop.com:Shop online going through schoolpop.com link at LLBean, Amazon, Home Depot, Walmart, Nordstroms, Lands End, The Sharper Image, Office Max and more! Be sure to designate Maple Grove PTA as your school before you shop! Schoolpop.com also offers credit cards that you can designate "cash back" to the school of your choice.
Target credit card: Designate Maple Grove PTA as your charity when you use your Target credit card to buy what you need and don't need from the store where it seems everyone shops.
Box Tops: Cut out the Box Tops for Education logo from participating products and send them to school with your children. Each class collects the box tops and the class with the most box tops during the Fall and Spring collections gets a prize. This program collects about $100/month to support PTA activities. Cartridges for Kids: We also collect and recycle empty printer cartridges and the school gets cash for each item recycled. This program also raises about $100-200/month for our school. Sign up to be a business sponsor and Cartridges for Kids will pick up at your office and Maple Grove will get the credit!!! http://www.cartridgesforkids.com
Other Fundraisers at Maple Grove Include:
Donations: We invite families who do not wish to participate in any fundraising activities to make straight donations to the PTA. We are a qualified 501 (c)3 non profit organization and ALL contributions are tax deductible.
Holiday Gift Cards: Gift card order forms are available here for Holiday 2011 Gift Cards. Simply print out the form, fill it in and turn it in along with your payment to the PTA Box. Maple Grove gets a portion of each card sold. This was a large fundraiser for Maple Grove last year, so order all of your holiday cards through us!
Butter Braids: In October/November, the PTA does a low key fundraiser by selling Butter Braids. Order forms are distributed in Friday Folders. Butter Braid pastries are made from 100% real butter but contain no Trans Fat!! $4 of each item purchased will go to support the many PTA sponsored events.
